This automatic plastic pellets bagging system fills 50 lb. poly bags at a continuous rate of 12-14 bags per minute with pellets that are used in various extrusion processes.
Both the bag placer and bag top reformer can operate in automatic or manual modes, allowing the system to continue to operate, even during maintenance or repairs of this equipment. Other automated systems do not allow for this type of feature and the entire packaging line must be shut down.

Gravity Flow Open Mouth Bagger used to fill fertilizer bags
A fertilizer bagging machine, such as the Gravity Flow Open Mouth Bagger, fills open mouth bags with dry, free-flowing and minimally dusty fertilizer granules at a rate up to 5-8 bags per minute (300-480 bags per hour). The bags most commonly used with this machine are an open top poly bag or a poly-lined paper bags. The bags are filled to a 50-pound target weight.

The demonstration video below shows an open mouth bagger packaging coarse solar salt into plastic bags at full and dribble flow speeds.
The bag is clamped onto the outlet spout of the machine. When the start button is pressed, the coarse solar salt is conveyed into the bag at full flow. When the contents of the bag get close to the target fill weight, the auger and conveyor slow down the flow to a dribble. When the target weight has been reached, the bag clamp is released and the bag drops so it can be picked up for sealing.

Poly bag filler located under a bulk bag unloader
This bulk bag handling equipment includes a poly bag filler located under a bulk bag unloader. The 2 ton electric hoist and powered trolley loads the 2,500 pound bulk bags into the unloader. The bulk bag is then emptied and agitated with paddles. Transfer of material is handled by a twin screw feeder onto a scale. The 50 pound poly bags are held in place with a pneumatic bag clamping assembly. The entire process is coordinated through the system control panel and digital weight indicator. Once filled, the bags are sealed and ready for the mixing process.
