nut bagging equipmentChoose from different types of nut bagging equipment that automatically weigh and fill pouches, sacks, and bags with different types of raw or roasted nuts.  These packaging machines are used for filling bags with many different types of snack nuts including peanuts, almonds, cashews, chestnuts, hazelnuts, macadamia nuts, pecans, pistachios, and walnuts.

Fill small pouches that weigh 0.5 – 5 lbs, large open mouth bags that weigh 10 – 50 lbs, or bulk bags that weigh up to 4,400 lbs.  All nut bagging equipment has an accuracy of +/- 0.5-1% of target weight and can operate at different bagging speeds. Bag sealers automatically vacuum seal pouches for retail sale in stores, as well as for online sales at stores like Amazon.  Nitrogen gas flush sealers are also available for sealing pouches or bags filled with nuts.  Larger, 5-50 lb open mouth bags for wholesale can be sealed on a conveyor using a heat sealer or bag sewing machine and then palletized using a robotic palletizer.

soybean bagging equipmentChoose from different types of soybean bagging equipment that automatically weighs and fills bags, bulk bags, and totes with different types of soybean seeds, soybean flour, and soybean meal.

Fill 16 oz – 110 pound bags with soybean flour and meal using an auger gross weigh bagger, and then seal them with a pinch bottom bag closer.  For filling bags with soybean seeds, we recommend using a digital gross weigh bagger or bulk bag filling station, and a bag sewer and pedestal. All soybean packaging machines have an accuracy of +/- 0.5-1% of target weight and can operate at different bagging speeds.

After closing the bags, convey them through a bag flattener and then onto a palletizer and stretch wrapper.  Using a robotic palletizer and automatic stretch wrapper for the fastest return on investment.

bulk bags vs IBCs - using stainless steel IBCs for seasonings

Food grade intermediate bulk container loaded onto an IBC discharge station above bag packaging equipment

Food grade intermediate bulk containers, or IBCs, are easier-to-use, clean, and add into existing operations at food and beverage processing and packaging plants.

The simplest version of an IBC discharge system would include a set of IBCs and a discharge station.  This would replace traditional bulk bag unloaders and bulk bags.

sorghum bagging equipmentChoose from different types of sorghum bagging equipment that automatically weigh and fill 50-4,000 pound bags with sorghum.  Automatically fill many types of bags including poly-woven, multi-walled paper, burlap, and lined / unlined poly-woven bulk bags.  Free-flowing sorghum could include red, orange, bronze, tan, white, and black colored sorghum, and more.

model gwb-gv gravity vibrator open mouth baggerFor filling sorghum into 50 pound bags, we recommend using a vibratory fed net weigh bagging machine.  This type of machine automatically fills a supply hopper as a bag is being filled below with sorghum.  This results in a fill rate of up to 24 bags per minute.  For filling bulk bags with sorghum, we recommend a bulk bag filling station that can fill 5-25 bulk bags per hour.  All packaging machines have an accuracy of +/- 0.5-1% of target weight and can operate at different bagging speeds.

Supply hoppers for this type of sorghum bagging equipment are also available in a wide range of sizes, including frames that support Buckhorn Pro Boxes.

plastic pellets bagging system and equipment pellets granules beadsThis automatic plastic pellets bagging system fills 50 lb. poly bags at a continuous rate of 12-14 bags per minute with pellets that are used in various extrusion processes.

Both the bag placer and bag top reformer can operate in automatic or manual modes, allowing the system to continue to operate, even during maintenance or repairs of this equipment.  Other automated systems do not allow for this type of feature and the entire packaging line must be shut down.

Learn more about industrial dust suppression systems and dust control methods for use during the processing and handling of dry bulk solids at indoor facilities or outdoor plants.

dust suppression for truck loading

Dust suppression and curtain systems used during loading of trucks with dry powder to be transported to a landfill for disposal

What is industrial dust suppression and what are some dust suppression methods?

Dust suppression systems are used to prevent, control, and greatly reduce the amount of fugitive dust particles (usually smaller than 10 microns) released during the processing and handling of dry bulk solids.  This is generally done by wetting or spraying the ultra-fine dust particles with water, or by mixing water with a dust control chemical like magnesium chloride.  The spray clings to the dust particles and causes them to drop or fall out of the air.

This is different from dust collection methods that use vacuums, baghouses, fabric filters, wet scrubbers, electrostatic precipitators, water curtains, and dust collectors.
