Bag Sewing Machines

Bag Sewing Machine on a Conveyor
Open mouth paper bag being fed through sewing machine.

Use a bag sewing machine to quickly close open mouth bags. Handheld and pedestal mounted bag sewers are available.

Use a heavy duty handheld sewing machine or a pedestal mounted bag closer machine over a conveyor to quickly close open mouth style bags. A handheld sewing machine can close up to 8 bags per minute and a fixed bag closer machine on a conveyor usually sews bags shut at rates up to 20 bags per minute. Bag sewing machines can also be incorporated into larger packaging systems and combined with a bag placer, bag filler, conveyor, or robotic palletizing system. We now also offer a handheld balancer option that gently retracts the sewing head to an overhead position when not in use.
