A v-shaped belt conveyor cradles or holds open top bags upright as they travel through an industrial bag sewing machine or band heat sealer. They can also be called v-trough conveyors or v-belt stand up bag closing conveyors.
Description
V-shaped belt conveyors are constructed of 10-gauge steel and all corners are formed with no sharp edges to eliminate bag damage. The v-shaped conveyor frame, hardware, roller shafts, UHMW rollers with sealed Delrin bearings can also be constructed of stainless steel for corrosive environments. The 3-ply belts can be 6 or 8 inches wide and can be black belts or white belts.
Depending on the bagging system, they can be powered by a 1/2 horsepower TEFC NEMA type 12 motor with dustproof wiring and variable speed drive, or with two 1HP AC inverter duty motors and one 2HP AC variable speed drive. For corrosive environments, they can also include two washdown-rated inverter-duty motors and NEMA 4X variable speed drive controllers.
A v-shaped conveyor is available in the following lengths: 8 feet, 10 feet, 12 feet, 14 feet, 16 feet, or 18 feet long.
