fluid bed dryers

Fluid bed dryer for pre-crushed pumice

This vibrating fluid bed dryer is used to remove the surface and internal moisture from pre-crushed pumice. The ore enters the system via a belt conveyor and feeds the dryer. Air heated by natural gas is processed through the fluid bed dryer, removing the moisture.  Moisture laden gas is sent to a dust collector to remove any entrained fines before the gas is released into the atmosphere.  The dried ore is then discharged from the dryer onto a conveyor and sent to a storage silo.

Vibratory Rebar Conveyor

Hot rebar cuts and drops on conveyor

Short cuts, or drops, from a steel mill producing reinforcing bars, square, and round stock, are dropped from the hot bar shear onto two vibratory conveyors. The conveyors move the short cuts of rebar away from the shearing table and into portable roll away containers. The collected cuts are then recycled back to the electric arc furnace for remelting.

Ash Conveyor Systems Under Hoppers

Pneumatic Conveying System for Ash Under Hoppers

This pneumatic conveying system is designed specifically for conveying hot abrasive ash, such as bottom ash (or fly ash) from boiler beds, baghouses, or electrostatic precipitators.  These systems can handle temperatures up to 650°F (1,800°F with assembly) and can be arranged in a single line of 1 to 10 units.  The Macawber pneumatic conveying systems also use about 50% less energy than typical fly ash conveying systems.
