Air-powered stainless steel vibrating tables are used to settle solids in sludge stored in 55 gallon steel drums. The customer wanted to remove excess moisture from the solids. Upon vibrating the drum, solids move to the bottom of the drum and the moisture is separated to the top of the drum, where it can be removed before the lid is secured.
For dry solids, vibration can be applied to settle material and allow for more material to be added to the drum.
Air-powered vibrators are used in an explosion hazardous area. Stainless steel is used for corrosion resistance.
