0.75 Cubic Foot Ashveyor - Pneumatic Conveying

Pneumatic conveying system using the 0.75/6-2 Ashveyor allowed this cast plaque foundry to reduce new foundry sand purchase requirements.  It also reduced the used foundry sand disposal requirements.

The facility is one of seven in North America that produces cast aluminum and bronze, etched, ADA, ceramic inserts, Bas Relief, Giclee and photo relief plaques.  It already had a number of pneumatic conveying systems in use, but required another dense phase system to transport a mixture of reclaimed sand and dust.  Because of the small volume of material, the Ashveyor’s 0.75 cubic foot  capacity was more than enough to convey the material the length of a football field without exposing employees to the hazardous fumes.
