Bin activators / feeders combine material activation and feeder tracking into one compact, efficient unit. All products described are covered by manufacturer’s 100% process guarantee.
The Un-Coaler ®
Un-Coaler reduces unnecessary expenses and equipment by combining a compact vibratory bin activator and feeders into a single unit. Materials are fed through an archbreaker section, which vibrates horizontally to break up bulky materials and to energize and activate. Once separated by the archbreaker, materials are discharged through two feeders, curved to guide materials to a central belt loader.
Versatile material activation settings ensure that even the most sluggish materials can be easily sifted and uniformly distributed to the underlying belt.
Important highlights include:
- Feed rates can be fixed or set to infinite variability.
- Unit can support a hopper ranging from 4-12 square feet in width.
- Unit does not require loading point impact idlers.
- No flushing, compacting or manual manipulation required to achieve top volume material drawdown.
- Combines feeding, activation and centralized belt distribution into a single, compact unit.
- No ratholing, bridging, or segregation.
- Tunnel provides total service access.
- Compact design minimizes headroom requirements, compared to other bin activators / feeders.
- Centered, drop-down belt loading reduces the possibility of belt tracking and unequal distribution problems.
Vibra-Flow ®
Similar to the Un-Coaler, this unit combines tandem trough feeders and a pile activation system into a single, integrated machine. The VIBRA-FLOW line of bin activators / feeders is more energy efficient than crude force alternatives of a similar capacity, and as a result is powered via a single vibratory drive with a low horsepower. Large hopper openings and efficiently designed archbreaker activator work to eliminate stoppage and bridging issues that can be witnessed with other bin activators and feeders.
Flow control can be manipulated precisely and easily in two different ways. The first is electrically, via a VFD. The second way to alter flow is pneumatically, using the manufacturer’s specially engineered VF (Variable Force) wheels. All maintenance, alteration and service requirements can be completed within the tunnel.
Important highlights include:
- Tandem curved feeders evenly distribute materials without risk of blockage.
- Vertical discharge ensures symmetrical and centered conveyor belt loading (avoiding issues inherent in side feeding).
- There is no gate required to operate.
- Low headroom requirements and compact design reduce installation costs.
Hula-Hopper ®
The Hula-Hopper is designed to minimize headroom and maximize efficiency. The unit couples together several functions: bulk material activation, flow rate control (with infinite variability, adjustable electronically or pneumatically), and positive flow shut-off. Since Hula-Hopper performs all of these tasks in a single, compact unit, installation and housing costs are drastically reduced. This two-mass vibratory machine offers two avenues for flow control: electronic VFD, and pneumatic adjustment using VF (Variable Force) wheels.
Whereas traditional brute force vibration machines require a great deal of energy and often incur bridging and other problems, Hula-Hopper provides nearly seamless material activation, and runs on a single, low-horsepower engine.
Important highlights include:
- Low headroom requirements and compact design reduce installation costs.
- Designed for maximum simplicity in servicing.
- Unique orbital design improves activation consistency and eliminates compacting and bridging.
Standard Bin Activators
Standard Bin Activators are designed to feed and discharge bulk materials at a consistent rate. A compact vibrator drives the process. Standard Bin Activators have a minimal number of moving parts, leading to a reduced requirement for maintenance and servicing. The manufacturer’s non-compacting design preserves material integrity while ensuring an evenly-metered distribution. Compared to other bin activators and feeders, there is virtually no particle deterioration, bridging or ratholing.
These units are available in a range of standard sizes, but can also be customized to your specific needs. They can be manufactured in a variety of materials as well, making them a versatile choice when it comes to bin activators / feeders.
