continuous volumetric blending system

Blending System:
Four minor ingredients are added volumetrically to the main ingredient. Main ingredient is metered from tote bins which were modified to fit into the tote bin feeder station.See Photo on right

Minor ingredients are metered volumetrically from bulk bags located in bulk bag unloading stations. Bulk bag stations are loaded using fork truck to lift filled bulk bag into place.

Five cubic foot hopper above feeder allows time for tote bin and bulk bag exchange with out stopping continous mixer.

Material from feeders drops into a twelve foot long continuous mixer/conveyor. Photo Below.

Material is mixed and conveyed to the discharge port. Blended material then flows through an airlock feeder and into a pneumatic conveying system for storage.

Equipment was fabricated, assembled and wired. Control panel includes controls for the volumetric feeder, mixer/conveyor and airlock.

System can be operated manually or un-attended auto by (remote) control room. Material flow sensors monitor flow into mixer and feedback signals monitor mixing ratios to insure accurate mixing of materials.
