Head Pulley Magnet

Head Pulley Magnet

Head Pulley Magnet

Head pulley magnet is one of the simplest, yet most effective, magnetic separators. Just mount it in place of a standard head pulley and it easily and efficiently separates ferrous metal from the product stream.

A Dings DFC head pulley magnet is built using our exclusive flux control magnetic circuit. This design ensures continuous magnetism around the entire circumference of the head pulley – no dead spots. For less critical applications, a conventional magnetic circuit design is also offered.

A Dings head pulley magnet is designed to provide years of trouble-free service:

  • Permanent magnet means no energy consumption
  • Uniform magnetic field
  • Large selection of widths and diameters available
  • Crowned face for conveyor belt tracking
  • Weatherproof stainless steel face
  • Shipped ready to install
  • Optional lagging available

Perma Pulleys are permanent magnetic separators that operate as head pulleys on belt conveyors. These self-cleaning magnets remove tramp iron and purify material conveyed in bulk form. In many applications, it’s possible to replace an existing head pulley with a Perma Pulley, on a size-for-size basis. A wide range of diameters, widths, and shaft sizes are available.
